The Cat & Dog Fight over Calgary LICENCES

I’m irritated and can’t see the reason why Calgary City Council does not continuously improve their processes and services.  Why can’t they issue licenses for the life of a dog or a cat.  Imagine the waste of issuing licenses every year.  In fact, I question whether we need dog or cat licenses anyway.  The municipal act says the city can only raise revenue by property taxes and business taxes.  Dog and cat licenses are supposed to be revenue neutral for dog and cat owners.  Imagine, the savings at city hall.  Imagine the savings for Calgarians.  Let me know what you think.
